IRS Sends Taxpayer First Act Report to Congress - NATP Summary
The IRS sent the Taxpayer First Act Report (Pub. 5426) to Congress, a comprehensive set of recommendations that will reimagine the taxpayer experience, enhance employee training and restructure the organization to increase collaboration and innovation. With the IRS report being over 250 pages, we wanted to provide you with what we think will be most interesting and what will affect your practice and clients.
There are three provisions requiring the development of the critical plans included in Pub. 5426:
- Taxpayer experience strategy
- Training strategy
- Organization redesign strategy
